Bellevue, WA – September 24, 2002 – Solid Modeling Solutions is pleased to announce TSNLib to complete the suite of geometry
kernels. TSNLib consists of all of the trimmed surface capabilities now in SMLib, plus the GSNLib features previously announced.
The diagram below illustrates the nested relationship of the four products: SMLib, TSNLib, GSNLib, and NLib.
|
NLib™ - an advanced geometric modeling kernel based on NURBS curves and surfaces.
GSNLib™ - an advanced geometric solver kernel based on NLib with curve/curve and surface/surface intersection capabilities.
TSNLib™ - an object-oriented software toolkit which provides a set of objects and corresponding methods to create, edit, query, and
analyze NURBS based trimmed surface representations.
SMLib™ - an advanced geometric modeling kernel based on NURBS curves and surfaces combined with a fully functional nonmanifold
topological structure and solid modeling functionality.
Data translators - NURBS-based geometry translator libraries, with interfaces for the NLib, GSNLib, TSNLib, and SMLib family of
products, including IGES, STEP, VDAFS, SAT, and OpenNURBS capabilities.
TSNLib is a new offering from SMS representing a proper subset of existing SMLib capabilities at a reduced price; designed for
applications that do not require the Boolean operation that is basic to solid modeling. More details can be found on the SMS website
at www.smlib.com, by contacting Robert Blomgren, VP of R&D, Solid Modeling Solutions, at (206) 463-1417, or by sending an
email to sales@smlib.com.
