SMLib SMLib Our flagship product built upon TSNLib provides fully functional non-manifold topological structure and solid modeling functionality including the ability to perform NURBS boolean operations, fillets, etc.
TSNLib TSNLib Built on top of GSNLib supporting trimmed surface representations.
GSNLib GSNLib A basic curve and surface NURBS library. GSNLib provides a useful interface to NLib while adding value as well. Includes curve/curve and surface/surface intersection and polygon modeling.
NLib NLib A comprehensive BSpline NURBs library fully supporting curves, surfaces, and volumes with an extensive set of shape query and construction tools.
VSLib VSLib Provides deformable modeling as part of a library using the constrained optimization techniques of the calculus of variations. The library supports several very different geometric operations.
SDLib SDLib Subdivision surface source code library that creates and modifies complex shapes with hierarchical Catmull-Clark surfaces.
PolyMLib PolyMLib Polygonal based geometric modeling to repair, optimize, review and edit triangle mesh models. Analyze surface properties, repair and optimize surface meshes.
Data Translators Data Translators NURBS based geometry translators to interface between Nlib, GSNLib, TSNLib, SMLib and IGES, STEP, SAT, VDAFS, OpenNURBS, and Parasolid XT.

| Solid Modeling Solutions Launches SMLib |
 |
BELLEVUE, WA - May 4, 1998 - Solid Modeling Solutions announces the launch of SMLib, its new advanced geometric modeling kernel based on NURBS curves and surfaces combined with a fully functional non-manifold topology structure. SMLib is well suited for use in both entertainment and CAD applications and will be shown at SIGGRAPH 98, booth 3723, and at Autofact. The initial version is scheduled for release in October 1998. |
| NURBS Geometry |
 |
SMLib includes all the curve and surface constructions and manipulations of the proven NURBS based Nlib, the geometry library from GeomWare, Inc. There are currently more than 60 licensees of Nlib. The trimmed surface constructions and intersection functionality are provided by the libraries of IntegrityWare, Inc. The IntegrityWare libraries are currently being used by a variety of companies such as Ford and the Rhino product from McNeel & Associates. |
| Non-manifold Topology |
 |
The functionality of the geometry modules has now been integrated into a complete non-manifold topology structure with the merge and Boolean operators providing high level and powerful functions for building state of the art applications. |
| C++ Source Code |
 |
SMLib is written in standard C++ and is distributed in source code form for use on a site wide basis. Source code provides both portability and security. |
| Support and Upgrades |
 |
Full, unlimited Web, e-mail and phone support, together with all upgrades, is included in the license fee. |
| Pricing |
 |
At $2,000 per month for a site license to the source code, SMLib is a truly low cost kernel and so offers development groups in companies both large and small the opportunity to move up to the latest in modeling technology. |
| Solid Modeling Solutions |
 |
SMLib is the core technology that is being used by Solid Modeling Solutions and their development partners as together they develop SMSolutions, a suite of geometry based add-ons to turnkey modeling systems.
